Athletes experience exhaustion regularly in training and in competition, especially those involved in sports where endurance is important. In many sports, endurance is required at training and competition.  When training, athletes need to push themselves harder than the last training session to continue improving.  At competition, endurance is required to see through the day.  Many athletes mention exhaustion; swimmers, basketball players, long distance runners and more.
